I began getting curious about The Tarot over 30 years ago, in my late teens. This relationship has blossomed organically over time. My ongoing connection to the wildness of nature, along with my innate curiosity and wonder, have led me right to where I am today. I remain on this path, still experiencing the twists and turns that bring richness and texture to my life.

In 2019 my most potent spiritual awakening began, which prompted the beginning of a new chapter in my Tarot story. The Tarot quickly showed up as a benevolent friend on this immense hermitage of coming home to myself, by way of my soul-guided path. Ive developed a solid expertise in this field by immersing myself in tarot course work, workshops, and deep dive studies, along with the practical application of this tool, on an almost daily basis, for over 4 years. This has provided me with the stable foundation upon which I have tended my craft, leading me to expand these gifts and offer readings to others.

This Soul-led path I’ve chosen to walk has not been an easy one. I’ve always been inquisitive, and as a result, I’ve been criticized and outcast by folks who were acting as mentors along my path. I would never want to stifle another in that way. Because of the trauma and harm I have experienced in the  “spiritual community”, it is of utmost importance that I establish and uphold my values in my offerings. I am not here to tell you anything you don’t already know. My wisdom does not, and will never, take the place of your own knowing. I encourage you to ask questions, stay curious, and trust yourself above all.

“The archetype of key 18, the Moon, beckons us to lean into the call of the wild. Before we expand our outer consciousness under the sun, we have to explore under the hood and ensure that we’re ready for the trip. The Moon card invites us to have tea with our subconscious, to intuitively identify and nurture the parts of ourselves that need healing. We have more light than starlight, but remember that it’s still nighttime. So we pair the moon’s receptive light with our primal intuition to move us closer to the Sun’s joy.”

My Reading Style

I read tarot in a reflective way, not a predictive way. I dont tell the future nor predict events that might happen. My readings offer affirmation, validation, clarity, and guidance on current events in your life. I read Tarot from a soul-guided perspective and trust the messages that come through for each of my clients, in real time.

I pride myself on channeling readings from a heart centered space, offering compassionate counsel for those who are looking for guidance around trusting their own innate wisdom. I consider the cards to be a mirror, always reflecting back to us just what we may need in each present moment.

About My Business

I chose the name Hermit and the Moon based on a personal connection to my Tarot birth cards. A Tarot birth card has special relevance to you, based on your date of birth. It reflects a central piece of your path and identifies the life lessons you may benefit from investigating on a deeper level.

The Hermit and The Moon are my Birth Cards.

My personal path is about finding clarity in the darkness of solitude. This makes me an expert at helping others on their path to illumination. Having walked the archetypal path of the wounded healer, along the way, Ive become proficient in finding meaning and value in an uncertain world.  The Hermit is the seeker, one who uses their internal truth to light the way to finding their own personal potential, and Im devoted to helping you find yours. The Moon presents its lessons by introducing the power of mystery, unknowns, and illusions as imperative pieces of the puzzle.  Finding the hidden facets that are just below the surface, is where my intuition is most at home.

Calculating Your Birth Cards

Are you Curious about which archetypes show up for you? You can calculate your own birth cards using the intructions below:

How to calculate your Birth Tarot Card:

    • We start by breaking your birthday into 4 groups of 2 digits each such that you can add these two digit numbers together like so: MM + DD + YY + YY

    • If the sum is a 2 digit-number, add them together. This is your first birth card. Reduce this to a single digit to get your second birth card.1Ex: 11 + 22 + 20 + 00 = 53
      • 5 + 3 = 8: Strength – First Card
      • 8 = 1 + 7 = 17: The Star – Second Card
    • If the sum is a 3 digit-number, add the first 2 digits with the 3rd digit. This is your first birth card. Reduce this to a single digit to get your second birth card.
      • Ex: 07 + 20 + 19 + 89 = 135
      • 13 + 5 = 18: Moon – First Card
      • 1 + 8 = 9: Hermit – Second Card
    • One exception to all these rules is when your sum equals 19. Most people will have 2 cards, but those with this sum will have 3. This is because 1 + 9 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1, effectively making your cards The Sun, The Wheel and The Magician
